Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, or for short IIROC, Regulatory Notice 11-0349 are guidelines for advertising, sales literature and correspondence.
As of April 12, 2004, this specific notice replaced the MR0281 Regulation Notice that provided guidelines for advertising, sales literature and correspondence as well. With the increasing use of social media communication channels, MR0281 needed to update its guidelines for clearer understanding of how to disseminate communications through new digital channels.
The content channels expected to be in compliance include: email, instant messaging, social media, text/SMS, audio, video, website and blogs. The global regions in effect for IIROC are North America and Canada.
