Social Media Regulations by the FCA

We live in a digital world and now we have to understand the benefits and risks associated with social media communication.

What does this mean? Ensure your social media accounts are compliant and be careful when using social media platforms in promotions.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) officially made the announcement in 2015 that social media channels need to be regulated moving forward. Content channels within compliance include: all social media platforms, audio, video, website and blogs. The global region for this particular regulation is Europe and Britain.

Financial promotions, whether on social media or traditional media, must give customers the right information and meet our requirements to be fair, clear and not misleading.
